Tragedy Takes Local Horse & Rider Lives!
On July 7th at approx. 955 p.m., Robin, along with her best horse, Chaos, was out with a group of friends riding, when tack complications kept them later than normal on their weekly Sunday ride. A local was seen speeding moments before as the pair was crossing the road to get home. Despite the other riders flashing lights on horseback, flagging & trying to get the mans attention, the driver didn't slow down in time, throwing Robin 25 ft and Chaos 37 ft, killing her instantly & paralyzing Chaos. It was found the man had 27 prior charges of DUI's, driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance, & domestic battery and fleeing the scene of an accident. Despite the recidivism, local Raleigh County, WV, cops done a "visual test" and let him go free.
Robin was a one of a kind.
